Online workshops

I also deliver Colour Sense workshops in person for groups who prefer to work together. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this possibility.

Colour Sense 1, 2 and 3

A series of structured workshops with a practical approach to understanding colour, a major element in being creative.

Each workshop is in the form of a PDF delivered by email. The workshops gives step by step instructions, examples and tasks to complete. They are based on colour theory and how to become more confident in using colour.

A series of 3 workshops delivered over a six week cycle is suitable for beginners or those who want to brush up their skills. Colour is a major element in all creative work; sets the mood and atmosphere and it’s very often the first thing we notice. These workshops are all about colour, understanding more about the theory and becoming more sensitive to the possibilities in our own work. We shall take it a step at a time with a range of practical tasks leading to some stitched samples and small projects.

Those taking part work at their own pace in their own time. Images, comments, queries and feedback can be posted on a Facebook page open only to me and participants.

On payment of the fee of £15 per workshop or £40 for all three, you will receive a downloadable PDF with fully illustrated instructions for each workshop at two week intervals.

Workshop 1 – Colour wheel, double primaries, secondary colours, types of pigments, mixing colours

Workshop 2 – Secondary colours, contrast, harmony and analogous colours

Workshop 3 – Tertiary colours, tints and tones, shades and values

Set of 3 workshops for £40 for all three
